For over 20 years, Sooner Mobile X-Ray, Inc. has provided mobile x-ray services to Oklahomans everywhere. Paul Scott, RT(R) and his wife, Susan, started Sooner Mobile X-Ray out of their home in March 2001, and it’s been family-owned and operated ever since.

In the early days, SMX was a one-man, one-van show. Paul had an all-day, every-day schedule, 365 days a year. Despite this packed schedule, Paul would always try to spend a little extra time with each patient to hear their stories and provide an extra level of care. Listening, respect, and empathy continue to be foundational values of SMX to this day.

Outside of SMX, Paul and Susan share the love of Christ by supporting their family, their church, and their community. Paul serves as a deacon, and he and his wife have taught Sunday school, worked on missions, and have served on various committees and leadership positions, including the Baptist Foundation Board. Susan also serves children and widows as a liaison for the Beautiful Day Foundation.

They have been married since 1989 and have three grown children, two sons-in-law, and four grandchildren.

In 2020, their son, Braden, joined SMX. Braden was formerly active in the DFW community as a financial planner and entrepreneur who was involved in several ventures. He also served as the Capital Campaign Manager for the North Texas Food Bank, where his team raised over $56MM to help fight hunger in North Texas. He now uses that business knowledge at SMX. Paul, Susan, and Braden enjoy working together and hope to continue growing their legacy for generations to come.

 

Meet the Team

Paul is the owner and CEO of Sooner Mobile X-Ray. He began his career at Norman Regional Hospital, and in 1997, was hired as Director of Imaging Services at Southwestern Medical Center. In 2001, he began providing mobile X-rays out of his garage with one van and a 24/7 schedule 365 days/year. Today, SMX is the largest provider of mobile x-ray and ultrasound services, caring for patients throughout Oklahoma.

Braden received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma, with a specialization in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He began his career as a financial planner at AYCO in Dallas, TX. Additionally, he has four years of experience starting and growing small businesses in multiple states, including California, Florida, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Before moving back to Oklahoma, Braden was active in the DFW community, serving as the Capital Campaign Manager for the North Texas Food Bank, where his team raised over $56MM to help fight hunger in North Texas.

Braden got married to his beautiful wife, Kelsie, on November 13, 2022. He loves spending time with her, hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors.

Seth graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's Degree in Economics and began his career in the retail industry. With a successful track record of organizational growth, team building, and operational efficiency, Seth has led many successful operations as a Senior Manager and Chief Operating Officer. He's a leader in the medical imaging industry and believes that patient healthcare should be a primary focus in today's world. When he's not working, Seth loves to broaden his experience by traveling, exploring, and seeing new things.

Susan is co-owner and Senior Vice-President of Sooner Mobile X-ray. She has her bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma in Elementary Education and has taught in Norman and Duncan before leaving in 2012 to join Paul in managing Sooner Mobile X-Ray. She is active in her church and community, having taught Sunday school, directed children’s programs, and served on various committees and boards.

Amber earned her degree in Marketing from the University of Central Oklahoma and began her career as a Territory Sales Manager at Cintas Uniforms. Following a fulfilling period as a stay-at-home mom for eight years, Amber decided to rebuild her professional portfolio. She established her own Business Development company, representing independent medical practices and providing strategic growth guidance.

Amber's expertise extends beyond independent medical practices. She has also served as a Territory Manager for Select Medical and Orexo Pharmaceuticals. In total, she has 15 years of experience in Business Development and Sales.

Amber prioritizes quality time with her family. She has been happily married to her husband, Rod, for 21 years. As a proud mother of two teenaged boys, Amber relishes in supporting her sons' pursuits.

Bo brings extensive healthcare experience and a deep passion for patient care. Raised in San Angelo, TX, Bo attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX.

Starting as an X-ray tech at SMX, Bo quickly rose to Lead Tech before becoming Operations Manager. He finds great fulfillment in helping patients in their own environment through Sooner Mobile X-Ray.

Outside of work, Bo enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his three daughters and amazing wife. He joined SMX because of the sense of belonging and family he felt when connecting with CEO Paul Scott.

Operations Manager

Brooke obtained her higher education through the military and, later, Penn State. She began her diagnostic imaging journey at a prominent Air Force medical center. Learning from exceptional mentors, she excelled in X-ray, CT, and ultrasound. Transitioning to civilian life, she found her perfect fit at SMX, a company that shares her values.

Brooke is a proud mom to a 4-year-old son and a beloved Pomeranian. She enjoys travel, hiking, skiing, and kayaking. Joining SMX was an easy decision after conversations about goals, values, and her potential contribution.
